Raised in St. Louis, June moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, in mid-Missouri, to live out her life. The entire family had owned property down there for all to enjoy, and to hang out with "Grandma Wally". June married twice in her life, the first marriage, to Mr. Kelly, produced a lone child Patricia A. (nee Kelly) Layton (deceased December 24, 2006). After losing her first husband, she remarried to Mr. Wallis. Living through many world experiences, the Great Depression, World War II, she had plenty of life experiences to fill many lives. One of the highlights of her life includes being one of the first female 18 wheeler truck drivers in the United States.
